Mrs. Cody Stell

I am excited to begin my eleventh year serving the students of Westpark. I look forward to meeting your children and working with them. Before landing at Westpark, I taught both middle school and elementary. My theoretical orientation to counseling is cognitive behavioral therapy. CBT is a framework that analyzes student behavior by looking at the thought processes of children. I apply this philosophy in the counseling setting. For reasons of practicality and application, I also integrate a solution-focused approach while providing individual counseling. I am passionate about working with children, identifying student need and developing programming to ensure student success.
