Mrs. Amanda Gibbons

My name is Amanda Gibbons and this is my 22^st year of teaching.  I grew up in Austin and attended Texas State University before moving to Fort Worth in 2003.  I have taught Pre-K for 10 years and I absolutely love it.  I have lived and worked in the Benbrook community for over 13 years, and I love this town.  My husband and I are both in education and we have two beautiful daughters that attend BMHS.  Our girls are very involved in school activities, so we are always on the go.  When I do have time to sit back and relax, I love to read and sit outside on my back porch with my 3 dogs.  I am so excited about joining the Westpark family this year and I am looking forward to being more involved in this community.

Carly Long

Hi there! My name is Carley Long, and I'm so excited to be starting my third year of teaching! I graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in December 2023, where I played collegiate volleyball (Go Rams!) and earned my bachelor’s degree. I recently earned my master’s degree in Kinesiology from Tarleton State University in August 2025—woohoo!

When I’m not in the classroom, you can probably find me on the volleyball court coaching the varsity team at Young Women’s Leadership Academy (Go Owls!). I absolutely love spending time with my family, friends, and my sweet pup, Daisy. I’m also a big fan of traveling and exploring new places whenever I get the chance.

I can’t wait for all the fun, learning, and growing we’re going to do together this school year!
